Community Involvement

Helping others is what we do.
That attitude doesn’t stop with our clients.

We wouldn’t be where we are today without the help of so many people. We’ve always believed it was our duty to pay it forward and help others in our community when times are tough.

Fulfilling Our Duty to Our Community

Our whole mission is based on making the lives of others easier. Employers and job seekers have come to us for more than two decades, hopeful that our team can help find new ways around confusing, chaotic situations that demand immediate attention. It only makes sense that our propensity for giving would extend to the community. The Bay Area has undergone significant changes over the last couple decades, and we want to make sure that no one is forgotten. We want to help others in overlooked communities find safety and security in times that seem to provide anything but, just like we do for our clients.

Martha’s Kitchen

With so many dramatic changes taking place in the Bay Area, countless individuals have been displaced. Food insecurity is on the rise, and organizations like Martha’s Kitchen are doing what they can to help. The San Jose-based soup kitchen is 90% volunteer operated, and our team has consistently tried to become as involved as possible in helping them with their mission. With over 4.5 million meals served to at-risk community members, we’re proud to be affiliated with such a remarkable cause.

Helping Others Thrive

Our commitment doesn’t stop at our clients. We want to help people in our community live happier, healthier lives. We work closely with organizations in the area, including Uplift Family Services, to make sure that the needs of local families are met.

Uplift Family Services

For some, the holidays are a source of joy and a time to really count your blessings and spend more time with the ones you love. But for so many others, especially in displaced communities throughout the Bay Area, the holidays can be a chaotic, disheartening time. That’s why our team is committed to helping families by donating our time and resources to help make the coldest months of the year feel a little warmer. Our team has consistently donated to our Holiday Giving Program for nearly 15 years, with our team purchasing, wrapping, and sending over 200 gifts and even more essentials to families served by Uplift Family Services.

We help those involved with Uplift much the same way we do our clients—by prioritizing their needs. Families working with Uplift are identified by their clinical staff based on their level of need. Our team works closely with families designated as high-need to fulfill their wish lists and make sure they have all the essentials they need to live comfortably in trying times. In 2019, over 700 families were submitted for assistance in Santa Clara County. Donors, including our team at CGI, responded in kind and provided more than 3,500 gifts and essentials like clothing, household items, and more.
