Duties

The Accounts Payable Manager is a hands-on role, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the accounts payable department, ensuring proper record keeping, developing best practices and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely month-end close accounts payable tasks and reports. This role manages the development and maintenance of the company’s SAP system in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures. Designs operational procedures and processes related to the Accounts Payable cycle that meet audit standards and improve efficiency. Ensures integration of data produced into systems and supports objectives of financial analysts. Ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data. The accounts Payable Manager will also participate in year-end audits and special projects.  May work with auditors to provide information and ensure proper record keeping for historical purposes. Coordinate with other departments to ensure the accurate recording of accounts payable, expense reports and accruals. Assist the team in developing and documenting enhanced policies, procedures, processes and controls. Manage a team of 3-5 A/P Specialists.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • 8-10 years of experience in accounts payable accounting, of which at least three years are on a managerial role
  • Good understanding of accounting concepts related to accounts payable and accruals
  • Experience working in semiconductor industry, preferred
  • Must have large ERP AP system experience (preferably SAP), as well as 1099 filing experience
  • Experience working with and managing a team of 3-5
  • Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting accountants, clients, and upper management
  • Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good presentation skills for educating internal clients on accounting principles
  • Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
